Know your Charlotte tire repair options!

Sometimes when the tire pressure light comes on, you tend to ignore it. Well you shouldn’t!
Tires could be leaking air for a number of reasons and it requires attention. Road debris like nails and screws can get stuck in a car tire and cause air to slowly leak out. Malfunctioning valve stems can also be the cause of a tire losing air pressure. Sometimes, large objects you drive over or curbs you hit can force air out and cause air pressure to decrease.
Don’t drive around on a leaking or low tire. Without proper inflation, the internal pieces of the tire will begin to weaken and eventually fail. Flats and blowouts are likely to happen, which is a danger to you and other drivers around you because you can lose control of the car easily.
Tire repair is simple!
If you have a tire that is consistently lower than the others, bring it in for Charlotte tire repair! Tires can be repaired by two common ways.
•    Plug it! A fast and cheap tire repair solution is to purchase a tire plug kit! A plug is an easy fix because you can do it yourself in minutes! You can find affordable tire plug kits in our Toyota Parts Department. Although this is a quick fix, it is only temporary! The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration doesn’t approve a tire plug as a permanent solution. Use a tire plug kit for only a limited amount of time.
•    Patch it! A tire repair solution that will last for thousands of miles is a patch! Bring your car in to our Toyota Service Center in Charlotte so our expert technicians can place a patch on the tire! To do this, they remove the tire from the wheel and attach a thick piece of rubber on the hole from inside the tire. This creates a strong seal and prevents the patch from coming off! A patch is the safest solution and can be done in minutes by our friendly Toyota techs!
